INTRALOT' s REVOLUTIONARY PRODUCTS AND SERVICES PRESENTED AT 2008 WLA CONVENTION AND TRADE SHOW
INTRALOT actively participated in the 2008 WLA Convention and Trade Show that took place for the first time in Greece in October 19 – 23, on the island of Rhodes and has been organized by OPAP S.A. INTRALOT has impressed the participants of the Trade Show with its next generation technology and its innovative gaming approach that were presented in its booth.
This year’s WLA Convention and Trade Show had the theme “Sharing the values of fortune” and became once again the meeting point for lottery professionals from all around the world. It constituted a unique experience offering its visitors a valuable insight of the technology that will lead the lottery sector into the future. During the Convention, international experts tackled challenging questions related with the lottery sector and had the opportunity to exchange ideas and share good practices.
INTRALOT participated in the Trade Show with an impressive booth, which attracted a great number of visitors. At INTRALOT’s booth, they had the chance to become acquainted with INTRALOT’s pioneering products and its new Icon Digital Imaging Technology, as it is incorporated in its new terminals Photon and Iris. Photon is a pioneering, revolutionary retailer terminal, which combines unique state-of-the-art-technology within an ergonomic and effective design. Photon reads all types of documents (play slips, instant tickets, lottery receipts), with high speed, full reliability and security. Another technological solution presented at the Trade Show by INTRALOT was the Winstation terminal. This terminal represents the newest development in self-service terminals that combines the provision of on-line games and instant lottery games in one terminal. Moreover, on the occasion of the Trade Show, INTRALOT launched its new, innovative product, Stylot, with which INTRALOT drives the lottery sector a technological step ahead. Stylot is a revolutionary device that introduces the lottery sector to the new style of gaming. Based on a tested and trusted technology, Stylot provides an alternative to the traditional way of gaming at the points of sale. With it players can write their preferences and feel the excitement of a technology with human face, as their selections are automatically registered. Players can even write on their own handwriting their choices, instead of marking a printed play slip, as they did until today.
INTRALOT’s subsidiary, ‘Betting Company’, has also demonstrated in the Trade Show the wide range of its services, products and infrastructure necessary for the successful operation and management of the demanding sports betting game. Betting Company manages the largest sportsbook in the world.
Mr. Constantinos Antonopoulos, CEO of INTRALOT S.A., who has participated in the WLA Platinum Contributor’s panel about “Excellence and Innovation” underlined: “Innovation is the driving force of INTRALOT’s continuous success. Coming up with a device that has the size of a pen and creates a new style of gaming today is only a token of the technological evolution in our sector.” He also commented: “The real differentiation today is not between the private and state lotteries, rather than between the regulated and non-regulated lottery world. INTRALOT is definitely on the regulated world’s side and is dedicated to add value to its clients, the governments and the local societies where it operates”.
