INTRALOT Group has expanded the World Lottery Association (WLA) Security Control Standard/ISO/IEC 27001 certification in the Netherlands, covering the activities of its subsidiary in the country, INTRALOT Nederlands BV, as a lottery operator. INTRALOT Nederlands BV was certified for all functions related to the operation and support of the Lottery System, including gaming system operation activities, technical support, retailer management, ICT operations, management, HR, compliance, legal and finance.

The certification was awarded to INTRALOT Group’s Managing Director Europe/North Africa, Mr. Fotis Mavroudis, by the President of WLA, Mr. Arch Gleason, on November 2nd during the WLA Convention and Trade Show that takes place in Brisbane, Australia. The certification process was conducted by the globally recognized BSI Management Systems, an information security management systems certification body.The Lead Auditor from BSI followed an objective, professional and accurate audit approach, covering aspects of both the ISO 27001 and the WLA Security Control Standard (WLA-SCS) in an integrated and efficient manner.

Mr. Arch Gleason stated on the occasion of the Certification awarding: “INTRALOT was the first international vendor to receive WLA Security Control Standards Certification in 2008. Within the framework of continuous improvement, in October 2010 INTRALOT has extended the scope of this certification to INTRALOT NEDERLANDS BV, a subsidiary of the INTRALOT GROUP which operates the Lottery Systems of Staatsloterij and De Lotto in Holland. We congratulate INTRALOT for its commitment to information security and the trust and support given to WLA.”
