INTRALOT SUPPORTS AND PARTICIPATES IN THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM
On November 23rd and 24th, INTRALOT, as an active member of the worldwide business and social community, participated in the regional World Economic Forum (WEF) in Istanbul, Turkey. More than 400 leaders from all over the world attended the forum, entitled “Connecting regions – Creating New Opportunities”.
INTRALOT was one of the Forum’s sponsors as part of its strategy to support conferences and international forums in order to foster the exchange of views and ideas on international relations.
The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging leaders in partnerships to shape global, regional and industry agendas. The various World Economic Forum meetings and venues provide the opportunity for leaders from diverse areas of the world to address specific concerns and contribute to their solutions.
INTRALOT’s participation in the WEF congress was particularly productive as its delegates had the opportunity to meet important leaders of the Turkish economy and discuss topics related to INTRALOT’s activities in the country as well as the forthcoming national privatizations. Moreover, such meetings with leaders of other major neighboring countries took place in order to identify common business opportunities in their respective markets.
During his participation in the WEF, Mr. Constantinos Antonopoulos, INTRALOT CEO, stated: “With our sponsorship and participation in the regional World Economic Forum, we not only support the singular institution but also the host country in which INTRALOT is the largest Greek investor outside of the banking sector. Our objective is to capitalize on the new experiences we achieved for the future growth of INTRALOT and the broad Greek business community”.
